We have been working with Burley’s Home Care since the start of 2020, providing them with our retained marketing services to support their business’ growth, even throughout the pandemic. 

On a monthly basis, we complete various tasks such as SEO (search engine optimisation), social media management, print work including magazine adverts, PPC (pay per click) and additional ad hoc client requests such as supporting their recruitment marketing.

After working together on a retained basis for over a year, it was time to tackle their website.  

Why the client wanted a new website

Earlier this year, it became clear that their current website needed updating. There wasn’t any one thing that was wrong with it, however it was apparent that user experience could be improved and that the brand colours were outdated. Additionally, it was built on an outdated platform that made custom development difficult and time consuming.

With various big Google updates being launched in May 2021, it seemed like the right time.

Key features of the new website 

The main goals for the new website were:

The result 

We’re really pleased with the outcome of the website redesign for Burley’s which we built on WordPress. But most importantly so is the client! Due to the nature of their target market, we did away with the animation used in the old site and simply added sleek transitions and clear call to actions. 

The colour palette that was agreed on is much softer than the previous dark green used, which matches their ethos of providing consistency and warmth. We also softened a lot of the hard edges and blocks used on their previous website.

Burley’s Home Care has won numerous awards for outstanding care services, which was vital to showcase. They also have countless great reviews that offer trust points for potential clients. Their awards and reviews now play a prominent role on the website, on the homepage, on service pages and through a dedicated review page. 

One of the main pages that was lacking consistency was the jobs page that needed regularly updating. The application process wasn’t as clear or simple as it could have been so this was given a completely new look and functionality. 

Overall, we feel like all the boxes have been ticked, and we look forward to seeing the results that this new website brings!
