Working with CW Marketing

Founder of The Ness Dementia Centre, Jonathan Hanbury and his team started working with CW Marketing in February 2019. Following a meeting with Jonathan to discuss his requirements, we put together a retained marketing package which included:

  • Creation and maintenance of Google AdWords campaigns to promote dementia services
  • Setup, creation and delivery of MailChimp campaigns
  • Monthly citations (link building) 
  • Social media management including paid advertising 
  • Review collection for carehome.com 
  • SEO articles
  • Print advertising in local magazines 
  • Event promotion using various different marketing channels 
  • Printed collateral creation 
    • New brochure 
    • General flyer

Plus, we have also been working on specific campaigns throughout the retainer, which have included;

  • A care home campaign to push referrals from the care industry
  • Promotion of their new service, The Ness Shed, including PR work in time for their launch

 

In addition to the monthly retainer, and the additional campaign work, we worked with Jonathan to establish a plan for a brand new website.

Why did Atlas require a new website?

There was a definite requirement for a new site from the moment we started working with Atlas. The old site was built using HTML on its own server, and was therefore very tricky to make any amends. It was not built with SEO in mind, so many elements, such as meta data, SEO titles, and general content was not optimised in any way.

It also meant we were unable to make the changes we felt were important for the site to perform better, such as improved call to actions and a blog.

And lastly, the site wasn’t even secure!

With all of this in mind, we put together a site map for Jonathan to review which took into account everything he wanted his website to do (plus more!). As he was quite happy with the design of his original website, and didn’t want a total re-brand, we took elements of the old site, and replicated these in the new website.

The Finished Website

The Design

When reworking the design, we had to be very aware of the target audience and who would be visiting the website most. In this case, it’s likely to be people looking for care for their loved one who is living with dementia, this could be carers, or family members.

With this in mind, we needed a clean easy to navigate design that allowed people to find the pages they needed quickly, with little distractions. At the end of the day, the goal is to get as many conversions as possible through phone calls and/or contact forms.

As Jonathan was already a fan of his previous website, we took inspiration from that and built the design using similar styling and the same colours throughout. This ensured that the branding remained consistent.

The Development

We started the Atlas WordPress site in April 2019 and the site went live at the end of June, there were a few elements that we were working on alongside the website that we had to complete before going live, such as Hubspot integration and a new brochure, so everything tied in together.

One of Jonathan’s key messages that he wanted to promote was the point around early intervention and how the centre is changing perceptions around dementia. Certain, well thought out, development tasks were completed to ensure that this message was apparent.

To allow the site to be completely editable, for both Jonathan, his team and us, it was created using visual composer. This means that new pages, posts and elements can easily be added to the website when required.

Whilst we had been working on SEO articles monthly since February, we also had a good set of blog posts to populate the site with, all of which will help their Google rankings.

The Results 

Completed in June 2019, both us and the client were very happy with the final result.

Following some great initial results in the 1st 6 months, Atlas has managed to improve occupancy levels, website traffic and social media following, which were some of the KPIs set at the beginning of the retainer.

Atlas now have a beautiful new, conversion led site up and running.

Ongoing Support

Following the completion of the site and the initial improved results, we are now working with Atlas on a retained basis to support their new business ventures.

Our retained support has helped Atlas to promote and improve results for the following services:

  • Home care – creation of an optimised landing page on the website and PPC campaign.
  • The Ness Shed – a new innovative service offering short classes for those living with dementia. We created a landing page, flyer, and supported the creation of the booking system as well as a calling campaign to local care homes to promote the service and promotion of their launch event.
  • Memory cafes – promotion for this service included new website content and social media.

We have also been creating monthly newsletters using MailChimp and using Hubspot to build their audience through the use of popups.
