The coronavirus pandemic has affected businesses of all sizes and in all industries. With each day bringing more unexpected challenges, and lockdown restricting how consumers navigate online, many of our clients have had to change the way in which they offer their services to ensure they meet government regulations and are able to continue operating for their clients.
Over the past few months, we have helped our clients achieve just this. By adjusting strategies and completing a range of marketing activities, their clients have been kept well informed, updated, and where possible able to purchase products and or services.
Read on to see some examples of how we’ve helped our clients during this time.
Hogleaze Storage
Due to the nature of their business, Hogleaze Storage was able to keep their doors open throughout the pandemic by implementing necessary safety and hygiene measures. When needed, we would update their website with prominent ‘COVID-19’ updates to keep their customers informed, but their regular marketing package stayed mostly the same.
Hogleaze Storage did decide that they wanted to show their support to all NHS and care workers by offering free self storage until the end of September.
They needed help to spread this offer as far as they could round their target areas, so we created the following marketing deliverables:
Article outlining the offer
Creation of eye-catching graphics and website banners
Boosted social media posts
Follow up ‘good news stories’ about those who took up the offer which was shared on Facebook
Endurotyres is an online retail shop for Michelin motocross and mountain bike tyres. For the safety of their employees, they decided to temporarily close their online shop in March. This meant that we had to prepare marketing materials to make customers aware that they were closing, as well as keep them engaged during the down time, and updated when they were to reopen again.
Activities completed for the closure included:
Closing their WooCommerce store to ensure that no orders could be placed but visitors could still browse the site
Adding popups and banners to the website to make customers aware of the closure Social media posts
Activities completed for the reopening included:
Reopening their WooCommerce store and testing the checkout process
Reopening article
Social media posts
Email marketing campaign to their existing database
The works completed helped ensure that their customers were well informed during the closure, and that they were aware of when the site would reopen again. We are delighted to see that even after the downtime, sales figures have bounced back and are hitting target.
Atlas offers day care services to those living with dementia in Devon, and because of the lockdown they had to temporarily suspend their onsite services. They felt that it was vital to still be available to their dementia patients that need support, so we worked with them to create 3 brand new services including over the phone, online and home care offerings.
As these were new services, we had to create resources for their website that would showcase them well. These included:
Creation of 2 x landing pages for the services
Creation of 2 x downloadable flyers
2 x email campaigns
PPC campaigns
Update the home page to reflect the new services
Add ‘COVID-19’ banners to all the services that are temporarily closed
To help them promote these services further, we will also be completing a 3 month retained package which will include the following:
Humphries Kirk (HK) offers commercial and business legal services in Dorset and Hampshire. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, HK was able to continue to offer their services to clients through digital forms of communications including Facetime, Skype and WhatsApp, all of which came with appropriate security and privacy measures.
In June, they put in place the necessary safety measures to open their doors to visitors and clients for meetings and enquiries.
To help them promote all of their COVID-19 updates, we completed the following work:
General social media updates
20% off legal fees ‘Rainbow’ offer
Website popups with the latest updates
News articles offering advice on legal topics that are affecting people during the pandemic
‘We are open’ article and social media
Necessary updates to job vacancies and employee job roles
Abbott Street Forge is a local blacksmith that creates made-to-order wrought iron gates and furniture. They took a slightly different approach to lockdown and decided they would take this as an opportunity to get on top of their marketing, improve their SEO rankings and ensure they have a strong social media presence.
To help with this, we completed the following activities:
Basic keyword research
Setting up search console and create a sitemap
Review collection
